DOT5.1 and DOT 5 are DIFFERENT!
Unlike a silicone-based DOT5, DOT5.1 is glycol based just like the conventional DOT3/DOT4. It means DOT5.1 does NOT absorb water quickly like DOT5 and does NOT require the total changeover of the brake lines or hoses, and can be used just like DOT3/DOT4. In addition, DOT5.1 has a higher boiling point and good Viscosity at low temperatures. |

The oil change intervals may vary depending on the conditions under which the vehicles are used. Normally 1 liter of brake fluid is needed to replace the whole amount in the brake system. Key Advantages of DOT 5.1 EHV
● Low Electrical Conductivity and Strong Corrosion Resistance
EVs and Hybrids rely heavily on regenerative braking, so hydraulic brakes are used less often and the brake fluid deteriorates more easily. Electrical charges around the braking system also increase the risk of corrosion.
To address these concerns, our DOT 5.1 EHV fluid offers lower electrical conductivity and stronger corrosion resistance than conventional products.
It shows up to about 10% lower conductivity than our standard DOT 5.1.
● High Dry Boiling Point (274℃) and Wet Boiling Point (184℃)
When the battery is fully charged, regenerative braking is inactive and hydraulic brakes must provide all stopping power.
Because EVs, PHEVs, and HVs are heavier due to battery packs, braking loads and temperatures are higher.
This product is engineered to deliver both a high dry boiling point and a high wet boiling point.
