Competition-use Rear brake pads for front-wheel drive cars

On a front-wheel drive car, there is a tendency for the rear brakes lock up very easily during hard braking. This is caused by the weight shifting forward during hard braking, taking weight off the rear, and causing the rear to lock-up. The RN-type was developed with the concept of having perfect balance of initial and overall friction levels. The RN-type has high initial bite allows immediate braking, but the overall friction level is kept at a lower level to prevent lock-up.
